Hi, I’m Ivan, the person behind IVANsits.

I’ve been caring for dogs since 2020, starting in Miami by pet sitting for friends and neighbors. After moving to Denver, I continued professionally through Rover from 2021 until the summer of this year. Over time, I found that what I do best—and enjoy most—is providing reliable, calm overnight care, especially for dogs who need consistency, companionship, and medication support.

My approach is simple: I treat your home and your dog with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I make sure your space is clean, secure, and comfortable for your return, and I provide daily morning updates that include photos and videos so you know exactly how things are going. Clear communication and routine matter—to dogs and humans alike.

I’m warm, laid-back, and genuinely dog-friendly, but I also take responsibility seriously. I’m currently in school and work another part-time job, both of which I intentionally schedule around my sitting commitments so your dog’s care is never rushed or secondary.

I also come with a small sidekick: my 11-year-old chihuahua, whom I’ve had since he was a puppy. He joins me during dog sittings, so I’m best matched with dogs who can tolerate (or peacefully ignore) a slightly moody senior chihuahua. Because safety is non-negotiable, I do not accept aggressive dogs.

My goal is for you to come home to a calm, cared-for dog and a house that feels exactly as it should—looked after, respected, and lived in gently. Peace of mind isn’t an extra feature here; it’s the baseline.
